A Game-Changing Innovation in Electric
Transportation: The EV Thermal Battery Wrap
The EV (electric vehicle) Battery Wrap is an insulation solution that offers top-notch thermal protection, enhancing battery performance for electric vehicles. Made with advanced thermal insulation and durable facing, it is a recent standout innovation from our Irish facility, trusted by leading international clients to optimise their electric fleets and prevent battery fluid and contaminant issues. As is Ventac’s remit, the company’s Research and Development team tirelessly innovate new solutions to respond to the global transition to greener travel, with health, safety and excellence at the forefront of our minds.
The EV Thermal Battery Wrap effectively shields against fluctuating temperatures, which can permanently reduce battery rechargeability and shorten its lifespan. It fits snugly around the battery, ensuring maximum thermal insulation and optimal battery performance. Tailor-made to accommodate various battery sizes, the wrap easily attaches with Velcro joints, simplifying both retrofitting and removal for routine maintenance. An optional high-performance heat-resistant layer, capable of withstanding temperatures up to 1,000 degrees Celsius, can be integrated to safeguard the vehicle’s passenger compartment during thermal events.
“Our Thermal Battery Wrap withstands temperatures up to 1,000 degrees Celsius, significantly enhancing the safety of electric vehicle drivers and passengers. This advancement aligns with our expertise in vehicle noise control and marks a promising new venture for Ventac. Major global customers are showing increased interest in our Battery Wrap, recognising its potential to extend an electric vehicle’s lifespan by mitigating temperature fluctuations. Initial trials indicate a substantial increase in vehicle range, especially in cold weather, highlighting the benefits this technology offers to electric vehicle owners as we move towards a more sustainable future.”
