Noise Break Acoustic Barriers Supplied to An Post

Ventac field testing in ventac lab

With the continuing growth in online shopping, the demand on An Post’s Dublin Mail Centre services is increasing considerably.

Using the latest technology in automatic sorting equipment, An Post is meeting this demand head on, and delivering a state of the art mail processing and sorting solution.

The construction and installation of this sorting process is not without its challenges. One of these is the significant increase in occupational noise levels while the machine is being built and installed.

An Post contacted Ventac to see if we could help.  They needed a quick solution that was easy to install, and was portable enough to adapt to the moving construction area.

Ventac supplied 146 Noise Break acoustic barriers to address the issue. These barriers come with 3 eyelets at the top, can be fitted to standard Herras fencing quickly and easily, offering very effective noise reduction.

Tested in Ventac’s own acoustic laboratory for performance outcomes, we know before they are supplied, that they will deliver sufficient noise reduction to meet the required levels.  Our Acoustic Laboratory allows Ventac test and develop components and new products for the Construction market.  So if the requirement is for a bespoke solution, we can fully test and evaluate performance before supply. This approach ensures the customer gets the right solution at the right cost, first time.  We have one of the most advanced acoustic laboratories in Europe at our headquarters in Blessington, Co. Wicklow.

In addition to acoustic testing, Ventac provide a full comprehensive range of acoustic products being a complete acoustics solution provider. The company has over forty years of experience in the industry and a range of products to control noise.

The technical team at Ventac, have the expertise and knowledge to advise prospective and current customers about the best solution to meet their acoustic needs. To meet this objective, the technical team employed at Ventac’s Acoustic Research Laboratory spend a great deal of time both analysing noise problems, and determining solutions to reduce the impact of noise.

Unfortunately noise will always form part of our daily lives. If left unattended, the impact of noise could have a profound negative effect on our lives. Effects can result in fatigue, learning difficulties and various effects on physiological and psychological health effects on humans. Noise sources can be many, including, noise at work, environmental, vehicles, building noise, industrial processes and people.

To remediate these noise sources, noise needs to be treated to an acceptable level. There are acceptable levels for sources set by legislation which must be dealt with by manufacturers and employers.

Ventac can provide acoustic solutions, and are noise control experts. We have implemented solutions, and developed products to curtail the impact of loud sound emissions, whether the noise comes from vehicles, environmental, building or industrial sources.
